A proposal for a daily routine to slightly improve your quality of life
Feeling stuck, frustrated, and tired? The following will help. This isn't magic beans territory, just some sensible defaults if you don't know what else to try.
Give this routine at least 3 months before making changes - it takes some time to show results. If you're already doing some of these - great! Just add the others.
๐ Breath is one of the few sympathetic processes you can control. Breathwork can calm you down, connect you to emotion, and can be done anywhere, at any time.
โถ๏ธ Start with: taking 10 minutes each morning to sit and slow down your breathing to 5-6 breaths per minute, relaxing as you go.
๐ Find a way to move your body every day, it pays off. This doesn't have to be extreme, just find ways to stay in motion that you enjoy.
โถ๏ธ Start with: get out for a 20 minute walk every morning, and start looking for other activities you might enjoy on a regular basis.
๐ Stuck? Do Something! This can sound obvious but sometimes we can get stuck. Find the smallest action you can take towards your goals - and take it!
โถ๏ธ Start with: every day, find the smallest thing you can physically do to move towards a goal you care about, avoiding thinking or planning unless it's critical.
